Hi there, I'm Maria! I am currently in my fourth year of the Bachelor of Chemical Process Engineering/Bachelor of Creative Intelligence and Innovation at the University of Technology Sydney.

Avid science fiction reader.

Chronic researcher of anything and everything in my spare time (I am yet to come across a topic my curiosity will not allow me to fall down a rabbit hole reading about).

As a self professed lover of anything one can learn about, my story goes beyond the confines of textbooks, lecture halls and a love for the sciences — it's a tale of curiosity, a positive HSC experience, and the unexpected beauty of rainy days.

From a young age, the sciences, especially chemistry, fascinated me. The intricacies of molecular structures and the promise of unlocking the secrets of the universe were like a siren call that led me to pursue my current academic path. As I delved deeper into my studies, the dream of specialising in Nuclear Engineering and working at ANSTO took shape. My aspirations extend beyond the technicalities of nuclear engineering—I yearn to contribute to the field of nuclear medicine, to make a difference in people's lives by harnessing the power of atomic energy for healing.
